Londonderry Air is an Irish anthem. It is a popular tune among the Irish diaspora and is also used by Northern Ireland as the national anthem before certain sporting competitions. This popular melody, heavy in character but full of hope, is perfect for a brass band.

Pierre Pichaud

Pierre Pichaud began playing the trumpet in Thiviers in the Dordogne. After studying at the conservatoire in Limoges and Fresnes, he moved on to Boulogne-Billancourt, where he won a First Prize in Frédéric Presle's class. He was subsequently admitted to the CeFeDeM in Rouen, where he was awarded his State Diploma in 2011.

After teaching for two years at the Conservatoire de Dordogne, he was appointed to the CRC de Sèvres in 2013.
In addition to this classical training, he has also had 'on-the-job' training:
Pierre got his start at a very early age in dance bands and brass bands, and plays regularly with variety bands and CLAP Fanfare. He is a founding member of the musical comedy show "Les Sourds Doués" and co-founder with Adrien Besse of Chapeau L'Artiste (CL'AP), a music production and administrative support association for artists.

Composition and arrangement are among his main artistic drivers. His talent and high-quality work have led him to receive commissions from various ensembles (brass bands, marching bands, chamber music), film-makers, publishers, radio stations and television channels, for which he composes original soundtracks.

Pierre is currently conductor of the Cirque d'Hiver Bouglione tour.
